After leaving the Soul Stirrers, he recorded songs with the Brooklyn All-Stars, one in which was released as a single -- "How Long Has It Been?" Another song he recorded with the All-Stars is "I Need The Lord". With his Sam Cooke-like vocals, he "Cookes" the song to the highest caliber.
